What's included in the package
- A free meeting to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit;
- Two prenatal visits to establish better connection, explore your birth preferences, discuss your birth plan, practice some relaxation, find the right doctor and clinic, etc.
- One additional in-person meeting with Dad (optional) to help him feel included into the process and understand his role in it;
- Hospital tour as part of a group;
- I am on-call 24/7 starting two weeks before due date and until labor onset;
- Ongoing support during the entire labor & birth process;
- After baby is born I stay for up to 2 hours in the birth room to help the new family settle in and assist with initial breastfeeding;
- One postpartum visit to discuss the birth, help with house chores and with breastfeeding;
- Additional breastfeeding online support if needed as lactation specialist for 1 month after birth;
- In touch for the following 6 weeks for questions and support;
- Access to my library with books on pregnancy and childbirth in English in Tbilisi;
- Discount for my prenatal classes.
If we sign the contract past 37 weeks, the Doula support package shall include 1 prenatal meeting + labor & birth + 1 postnatal visit, and will cost 1500 GEL.
| Who am I? My name is Ekaterina. I am a mother of a now 10 year old California born boy, and it was his arrival that brought me into the incredible childbirth work! I was a graduate student in San Francisco when I found out about my pregnancy, and decided to walk the journey of being first-time pregnant and give birth in a foreign country on my own. Luckily, I had a doula to accompany me along the way. Ever since, I have been walking alongside women in similar situations. I had my Birth Doula training from Birthways Int. in Canada and started my practice there, then moved to Moscow and co-founded the Russian association of doulas, while supporting international women in their pregnancies and births. Since 2018 I have been serving the multi-lingual and multi-national community in Tbilisi, Georgia, which is my second Motherland. I also run a counselling & psychotherapy practice and work as a lactation consultant, in three languages: English, Russian and Spanish. My Georgian is not as fluent, but I'm slowly getting there:) |
